How to remove yourself from Spokeo

Spokeo is one of the biggest people-search sites. Here's how to opt out — and how to keep your data from coming back.

1. Find your Spokeo listing

Go to spokeo.com and search your name, or your email/phone. Open the profile that matches you and copy its full URL from your browser's address bar.

2. Open the opt-out page

Visit spokeo.com/optout. Paste the profile URL and enter an email address you can access (used only to confirm the removal).

3. Confirm the removal

Spokeo emails you a confirmation link. Click it. Your listing is usually hidden within a day or two.

4. Repeat — because it comes back

Spokeo rebuilds profiles from public records, so your data often reappears within months. A one-time opt-out is not permanent.
