Das Örtliche, Das Telefonbuch, 11880 and Klicktel are covered by every cleanup — we file those removals for you. One step stays with you, and we would rather say so now than let you discover it later: your phone provider has to strike you from its subscriber directory, because that is where those directories take the data from. Skip it and the next sync puts the entry straight back. We hand you the finished letter for that step.
Independent testing (Consumer Reports, 2025) found that careful, manual opt-out requests removed data faster and more reliably than large automated services — some of which removed as little as a fraction of listings. And after a well-known US competitor's founder was revealed to also run data-broker sites, "who is actually behind your privacy service?" became a fair question. Privora's answer: a named, EU-based operator, processing your data under GDPR, who makes money only when we remove your data — never by holding it.
Data brokers collect and sell your information. We do the reverse: we find those listings and get them taken down. We are registered to process personal data in line with EU law, we sign a clear data-processing agreement, and you can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time.
