Privacy Policy
Privora ("we", "us", "our"), operating the website privora.world, provides a personal-data-removal service. Protecting your privacy is the entire point of what we do — this policy explains what data we process, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is the data controller
Privora is the controller of the personal data described here. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@privora.world.
What data we collect
- Data you give us for removal: the details you want removed from the internet — name, email addresses, phone numbers, current and past addresses, and any links or notes you provide.
- Account data: the email address and password you use to create a client account and track your cleanup.
- Exposure-scan data: the email address you enter into our free scan, used only to query breach databases and show you the result. We do not sell it or add you to marketing lists.
- Payment data: payments are processed by PayPal. We receive a confirmation and reference — we never see or store your full card details.
- Technical data: minimal, privacy-preserving usage information needed to operate and secure the site.
Why we process it (legal bases)
- To provide the service (performance of a contract) — finding and requesting removal of your data.
- To act on your behalf with data brokers under your explicit authorisation, exercising your erasure rights.
- Legitimate interests — securing the service and improving it, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — for the free scan and any optional communications; you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share data with
We share the minimum necessary to deliver the service:
- Data brokers and people-search sites — to send removal/erasure requests on your behalf.
- Processors that run our infrastructure: hosting and functions (Netlify), database (Supabase), payments (PayPal), and the breach databases used by the scan (Have I Been Pwned, XposedOrNot, Hudson Rock).
We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. See the GDPR section for how to exercise them.
International transfers & security
Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA by our processors, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) apply. We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your data.
Terms & Conditions
By using privora.world and our services, you agree to these terms.
The service
Privora searches data brokers and people-search sites for your personal information and sends removal/erasure requests on your behalf. We offer a one-time Essential Cleanup (€49) and a Custom Cleanup priced to your needs.
No guarantee of complete removal
We use commercially reasonable efforts to remove your data. However, we cannot guarantee that every site will comply, that data will never reappear, or that third parties outside our covered network will remove it. Data brokers may re-collect information over time.
Your responsibilities
- You confirm the information you submit is your own (or that you are authorised to act for the person it concerns) and is accurate.
- You authorise Privora to submit removal/erasure requests on your behalf.
- You will not use the service for any unlawful purpose.
Payment & refunds
Payment is a one-time charge processed by PayPal. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee: if we cannot remove your data or you are not satisfied, contact billing@privora.world for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Privora is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.
Changes & termination
We may update the service or these terms; material changes will be posted here. You may stop using the service at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania and the European Union. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Romania, without prejudice to your mandatory consumer rights.
GDPR
Privora is built around the GDPR — we help you exercise your data-protection rights, and we respect them ourselves.
Your rights
- Access — get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — have your data deleted.
- Restriction and objection — limit or object to certain processing.
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where processing is based on consent.
How to exercise them
Email privacy@privora.world from the address associated with your request. We respond within one month, as required by the GDPR.
Complaints
If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Romania this is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).
